Your first appointment with us

In your initial appointment at Enhance, your Physiotherapist will perform a detailed and comprehensive assessment to determine the cause of your problem. This will involve listening to your story, assessing the area of concern and any other areas that may be contributing in order for us to develop the most effective personalised treatment plan. At Enhance, we recognise the importance of helping you understand your condition to allow for optimal lifelong recovery. Where necessary, we will also liaise with your doctor, sports physician, specialists, other health professionals and anyone else involved in your care to maximise your health outcomes. 

Do I need a referral?

Nope! 
As first contact practitioners, you don’t need a doctor's referral to see us. The reason for this is to ensure that you can receive the care you need as quickly as possible. Waiting will often only delay recovery! In the case where you do receive a referral, please bring it into the clinic with you as this will often have important information that our team will use to treat your condition.

 

For our Paediatric patients, you will often receive a referral from your Maternal Child Health Nurse, however you do not need this referral to organise an appointment.

 

 

Appointments 

Physiotherapy appointments are available to be booked online, over the phone or in clinic. 

Our initial appointments are scheduled for 45 minutes to allow our team to listen, assess and develop a personalised treatment plan. After the initial, your follow up standard appointment will be 30 minutes, however, multiple injuries or complex problems may require additional time.  Please inform us at reception at the time of booking if this is the case to ensure enough time is allocated to treat all your injuries. 

Do you treat WorkCover, Veterans Affairs and TAC Patients?

Yes we do, however, you will still need to pay for your consultation on the day until we have confirmation that your claim has been accepted.

We bill TAC and WorkCover for all treatment once you have provided a claim number and unlike other clinics we do not charge a gap fee to cover the rest of the consultation. WorkCover and TAC recognise a “standard” physiotherapy consultation as a “treatment of one area only and for 15 minutes”, at Enhance we provide 30 minutes of one on one treatment to provide optimal care for your recovery.

Cancellation Policy 

We understand emergencies and accidents do happen, however we request that you provide 24 hours notice if cancelling your appointment so that this time can be used to help another patient. Repeated failure to provide sufficient notice may incur a cancellation fee.

Payment options

Cash, EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available.

We also have a HICAPS machine for patients who are claiming on their Private Health Insurance however it is important to be mindful that each insurer will cover different amounts of the consultation and there may still be a gap payment required.
